After three rounds of ranked choice computerized tabulation, U.S. Sen. Lisa has defeated conservative Republican challenger Kelly Tshibaka.

Murkowski held a narrow lead of just over 2,000 votes before the machine tabulation began on Nov. 23. It only took a few seconds, but the final tally gave Murkowski 135,972 to Tshibaka’s 117,299.

The huge jump in votes came when hard-left Democratic candidate Patricia Chesbro was eliminated. The second-choice votes on Chesbro’s ballots transferred to 20,543 new votes for Murkowski and just 2,209 votes for Tshibaka.

Following the tabulation, Tshibaka released a statement acknowledging the results.

“It’s clear from the ranked choice tabulations that Sen. Lisa Murkowski has been re-elected, and I congratulate her on that,” Tshibaka said. “The new election system has been frustrating to many Alaskans, because it was indisputably designed as an incumbent-protection program, and it clearly worked as intended. Additionally, it is regrettable that Sen. Mitch McConnell spent millions of dollars in this race on deceptive ads to secure what he wanted – a Senate minority that he can control, as opposed to a majority that he could not. Donors’ money would have been better spent in other states to elect more Republicans that would have secured a majority in the Senate. In the end, however, our Alaska U.S. Senate election turned out to be another victory for the Washington, D.C. insiders who rarely have our best interests at heart.”

KELLY SHIBAKA’S FULL STATEMENT

“I’m proud of the race we ran and proud to have united Alaskans in our fight against the disastrous Biden administration, which has targeted our economy every single day they have been in office. I entered the race to be a voice for the voiceless, and to stand up for the Alaskans who stood up for me and my family when we needed opportunities. I love this state with all my heart because of its endless potential and because of the resilient, compassionate, and fiercely loyal people who call it home. I will continue to fight for Alaska and for we, the people, but will take some time to reflect upon what that may look like.

“It’s clear from the ranked choice tabulations that Sen. Lisa Murkowski has been re-elected, and I congratulate her on that. The new election system has been frustrating to many Alaskans, because it was indisputably designed as an incumbent-protection program, and it clearly worked as intended. Additionally, it is regrettable that Sen. Mitch McConnell spent millions of dollars in this race on deceptive ads to secure what he wanted – a Senate minority that he can control, as opposed to a majority that he could not. In the end, however, our Alaska U.S. Senate election turned out to be another victory for the Washington, D.C. insiders who rarely have our best interests at heart.

“No matter how dark things may seem to some right now, the light of hope can never be extinguished in the Land of the Midnight Sun. I saw that light shining bright and strong in the eyes of the thousands of Alaskans I met along the way, and the thousands more who supported our campaign by volunteering, by donating, and by voting. I felt the warmth of that light in the open arms with which they welcomed me into their communities, villages, and homes. I am deeply grateful for their kindness, generosity, and support.

“I also thank my wonderful husband, Niki, and five incredible children for enduring the long hours and never-ending travel. I am grateful to President Trump for his support and encouragement. Above all, I thank God, who makes everything possible, for guiding me on this journey.

“Stay tuned. The best is yet to come!”

If you go back a month and a half ago you will see who I said was going to win, it wasn’t by coincidence that I stated that.
The political cow made sure she was going to win by the corrupt system she instated because she knew Alaskans were never going to vote her in.

    • Colorado Conservative says:

You are exactly right NAV. Murkowski cheated to get her victory over Joe Miller last time so she knew voters would not vote for her this time either, thereby her behind the scenes effort to pass ranked choice voting.

      • Truth Network says:

Hi Colorado Conservative, How did Murkowski cheat? Are you suggesting that following the election law is cheating?

  • Neil DeWitt says:

So here we are another six years of lieing Lisa the RINO. That’s so sad but happy for her I’m sure. Kelly, this is a chance to rebuild and be ready to blow her away next time. Start now and be ready. We need representation in D.C. I guess in a few more Years it’s RINO Sullivan’s turn and you will be their and ready. Thanks for you and your family’s run.

  • Richard Eide says:

Another six years of Murkowski in the national news for voting like the RINO that she is.

  • Penny Seliger says:

The Democrat Senator from Alaska. So is Senator Sullivan!

  • Terry Stires says:

Tshibaka lost cuz she’s an angry, entitled grifter. Murkowski won cuz she got more votes.

    • Steve says:

Don’t you mean bought more votes?

    • Dan says:

Wrong, Muskowsky scammed Alaska in every “election “.
Nepotism scam, Write-in scam, Rank Choice scam. It is just a matter of what will be her next scam?

      • Truth Network says:

Hi Dan, Do you realize that Dunleavy paid Tshibaka $80,000 of Alaska’s money to move to Alaska for the sole purpose of running against Murkowski?

    • Reggie Taylor says:

“…….Murkowski won cuz she got more votes……..”
From Demonrats, not Republicans. After being castigated multiple times by the state Republican Party after her performances over the past few years, she should have been forced to run as independent and remove the (R) from her name, and she knew that so well that she and Kendall hoodwinked the foolish voters into RCV in order to defeat her own party.
She is corrupt to her ice cold core. She has earned the moniker of Wicked Witch of the North.

  • Barb Melland says:

So with ranked choice voting we ended up with Democrat Peltola and a rino senator Murkowski to join rino senator Sullivan.
peltola and murkie would never have won without rank choice voting. this voter feels disenfranchised.

    • Dan says:

Use to be that all the really wacko groups weren’t organized enough to elect a King Wacko. RCV rounds up every wacko in your state and automatically organizes them into electing a King Wacko to run your life. Let’s hear it for King Wacko!

  • Scott Ehmann says:

Sadly it’s going to take more pain and by that I mean more than just financial
for Alaskans to wake up and see how sick and twisted this evil person they’ve blindly followed.

    • Friend of Humanity says:

I agree Scott. People need to wake up and start pointing out all of the globalist activity here in Alaska and shutting them down. We will not be able to take back this state if people keep supporting the globalist organizations that have infiltrated our state. Look for the groups that cater to Elites. Look for the activity that favors the Elites and not the regular people. See organizations that, on the front, look like they are working to make Alaska a better place? Better for who I ask? Better for the regular people? Take the Soros-created ERIC system that is supposed to maintain our voter rolls. How is that working out for us? People need to start calling out the globalist organizations. We are not a democray – we are a Republic. Wake up People and start speaking up!

      • Molly says:

I completely agree about ERIC, we need to have our voter rolls cleaned up and ditch ERIC. I know what they send this organization, all our PII (everything the DMV and Elections data is sent). It is an abomination, our legislators need to insist we dithc ERIC, get help with cleanup. We need better ROI from those that say they reoresent us.

      • Friend of Humanity says:

Molly, Soros is deeply embedding himself/family in this state. It is going to be awhile yet, I believe, before we true Conservatives even have a chance to have our vote really count about this crooked system. Thank you for the link to the omega4america article!

      • Ml Moore says:

Well said friend of humanity. Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves, throw out RCV, and be ready to to start recalls when our representatives do not represent the people of Alaska.

  • Steve says:

Lisa owns Alaska now. She’s Liz Chaney of Alaska!

  • Friend of Humanity says:

Kelly Tshibaka conceded? McConnell dumped all that money into Murkowski’s campaign. Then, we find out that campaign money came from the scandalous FTX fraud scheme and the Conservatives are going to not say anything about this? This whole scenario is wrong…just totally wrong.

  • Steve says:

With Rank Choice Voting whenever there are two members from the same party on the ticket, that party will not win. Republican need to develop a method to pre-select their candidate prior to RCV. The Murkowski family, like the Biden family are corrupt to the core.

    • Dan says:

RCV is totally corrupt. The only way to beat it is for a single conservative candidate to also sign up four other duplicate conservative running mates to run along side them. Then have all conservative voters vote for all five conservative candidates. When RCV runs through its rounds and deletes the least popular conservative, those conservative votes get automatically added to the next conservative candidate. No matter what round maximum conservative votes would be applied against the liberal candidate.

  • Mrs. N. says:

It makes me wonder about the inclination of this ‘online journal’ if the main commentators write such hateful things.
‘Republican in NAME only’ seems to indicate that a person subjugates their personal and individual freedom to a nameless entity that calls itself a ‘Republican’. This country was founded on the principles of freedom for the individual, not freedom for fascists and cabals, for within those ‘group-think’ organizations the power usually is still resides within that of single person, its ‘leader’ that enlists itself as a member but has the most ‘power’ –as a humanly devised concept or idea which sinks all its identity with a powerful individual supported by the structure of the like-minded members of the group. Why do you think that in these sorts of governments there are KGB, secret police, SS troops, mafioso, toughies that are delegated by that specific powerful leader to quash anything different than that dictated by the ‘leader’? This is Alaska, the land of the rugged individual. Where does the idea of unfailing allegiance and fidelity to a single all-powerful leader come from … in Alaska? There used to be this idea that Republicans worked together in the best interests of all to ensure that even the voice of the minority was considered, but now it means ‘Chinese or Russian Communism’? Talk about “1984” and twisting the meaning of words!

    • Steve says:

If you’re going to classify yourself as a member of a particular group, and that group has a platform, then yes you should represent the beliefs of that particular group. Lisa is a member of the LISA party. The LISA party platform is they represent whomever can throw the most cash at them, just as Mitch McConnell is a member of the McConnell party.

  • Molly says:

You want better legislators? Stop electing the democrats.
Democrats are ANTI democracy, ANTI Alaska, ANTI American citizen, ANTI America.
    Democratic Party= kill democracy

  • Mark says:

If Trump is elected again then he’ll have four years of hell with the likes of Murkowski, Collin, McConnell, and other Marxist senators who vote against him regardless of the bill.

  • Marlin Savage says:

As an incumbent with tons of money, democrat votes, and McConnel’s backing, the fact that a neophyte gave her such a credible fight speaks volumes.

  • Matthew myers says:

Whatever. We all know that it’s bovine scat and they just added the number at the end that they wanted. The difference probably works out to Lying Lisa’s favorite Keno numbers.

  • Julie says:

Yes, just like her write in effort 10 years ago! Her menions found a way for her to win again! If this year didn’t wake people up to her true democratic roots, nothing will!
Chesbro’s campaign was a cheap date only intended to give Murkowski all her 2nd place votes! Alaska is doomed with her leading the pack! We need term limits not career politicians!

  • Colorado Conservative says:

Appreciated reading the full statment by Kelly Tshibaka. Truly a more than gracious response to a woman who does not deserve it. We bought land in AK several years ago so we could escape the Democrat run Colorado. Sadly AK appears headed in the same direction if mail in ballots and ranked choice voting are not defeated.

  • jon says:

Wow! I lived in Alaska for decades, moved on to warmer pastures. I never knew there were so many conspiracy theorists. Lisa is called a RINO because she doesn’t worship Trump. She voted straight party line, 95% of the time. .

    • Reggie Taylor says:

“…….Lisa is called a RINO because she doesn’t worship Trump……..”
She’s RINO because she violates the pro-life plank of the Republican Party platform, and she always has. She also claims to be Catholic. She should be excommunicated and sent packing to the Demonrat Party.

  • DaveMaxwell says:

Leave it to me to give Kelly desperately needed advice!
You mam are pathetically undeserving of a leadership role! We the tax payers paid for you to do the essential investigation of div elections! And Kelly, what the hell , we still don’t know what was in it!!? You mam know what’s in it, and we don’t!

  • Sharon Alice Turner says:

US Senator’s oath of office, text : ” I do solemnly swear (Or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I takes this “Obligation” freely; without any mental reservation or PURPOSE of evasion; and that I will well and ‘faithfully’ discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me GOD. I suggest “Murky read, re-read and get a plain English translation of the Oath (s) she keeps taking.

    • Steve says:

It will do no good for Lisa to re-read her sworn Oath of Office. She know exactly what she’s doing and doesn’t give a damn about any oath she’s taken. Now days anyone keeping an oath to the Constitution is considered an enemy of the state, i.e. Oath Keepers!

  • Lisa O Levang says:

if you think these ballots were counted ACTUALLY and FAIRLY , you are nuts. MORE TO COME !!!

    • Dan says:

Nobody will ever know if those votes were counted correctly. The reason is because RCV is so convoluted and complex that you would need to be a election computer scientist just to even understand the vote calculation theories. Then you would need to go inside the system to determine if there’s been anything added to the system to alter the final numbers. The average voter or audit person doesn’t even have a chance to determine if the RCV was fair.

  • Dan says:

Right, Muskowsky votes the Democratic Party line 95% of the time.

  • Faith, Family, Freedom says:

Evil has kept evil out front and the RINO fake-Catholic knows the only way she could win was lying, cheating and turning to darkness for the boost. There is no integrity, honor, or respect in someone who FAILED to earn the seat in the first place. Her judge is of a higher realm and Lisa will not escape accountability for all she has done and all she has failed to do. It is too bad she continues to refuse God in her decisions because her Godless actions will cost her dearly when she meets her Maker at her final judgment! May God have mercy on her soul. The Culture of Death, which Lisa promotes, openly embraces the fires of Hell!

  • AkMama54 says:

Lisa, I will continue to pray for you, as you need prayers the most! Our state and people do NOT approve of you or your beliefs and us Alaskans will suffer due to your lies and cheating. May God help us All!

  • John says:

I voted for Kelly but this tirade charging she lost because of ranked choice voting galls me. Lisa got more first place votes in the general election and she won by a bigger margin in the primary. Kelly wouldn’t have been in the general election under the old system. Wake up people! Be responsible in your thinking. RCV needs to be understood and examined but don’t make it the whipping boy for Kelly’s loss.

    • Steve says:

John, your logic is flawed… Did I miss the Primary? How did you deduced that Kelly wouldn’t have been in the general election, she would have won the primary ticket against Lisa by a landslide. If we had a primary Lisa wouldn’t have been on the ballot. Therefore Democrats wouldn’t have won the Senate seat.
Are you one of those Woke people that like to redefine words like ‘primary’? If you’d stayed awake you wouldn’t have missed the point of RCV.

      • JohnN says:

For the primary Lisa received 45 percent of the total vote, Kelly 38.6. Both were running as republicans and the voter can chose to vote for whichever party and candidate they wish under the old system. I seriously doubt the voting with the old system would have changed the results.

  • Friend of Humanity says:

Murkowski received an individual donation from FTX Bankman-Fried and we hear crickets in Alaska about this!
