Alaska-based airmen at both JBER and Eielson Air Force Base are undergoing systematic diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training sessions as part of a wider effort to fundamentally reshape traditional U.S. military culture.

According to the Eielson Base website, the installation launched a DEI program earlier this year with the aim to promote a “culture of diversity and inclusion.”

Pacific Air Forces Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Officer Tony Cruz met with base supervisors in late May to help them train airmen in better “understanding different perspectives.” He used simulated scenarios during the sessions.

DEI dogma has also made considerable inroads into the U.S. Air Force Academy, where junior cadets are now being targeted in order to transform military leadership in the decades ahead.

“An individual gets to engage with an avatar but behind the avatar there is a learning specialist which is a real person that will interact with you over scripts and scenarios that have been written based on real experiences in the Air Force,” Cruz was quoted in the Eielson article. “Once they’re done, we start unpacking the event with the individual, and people start sharing their own perspectives and opinions.”

Cruz also delivered controversial diversity workshops to Airmen across the base, something he has done at every Pacific Air Force installation – the 5th Air Force at Yokota Air Base in Japan, the 7th Air Force at Osan AB in the Republic of Korea, and the 11th Air Force at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.

In addition to Cruz’s efforts, Elmendorf Air Force Base posted a job opening for a DEI manager in March. The $93,367 to $121,378 job entails implementing so-called “educational programs” to help implement the base’s “Diversity and Inclusion mission.”

DEI dogma has also made considerable inroads into the U.S. Air Force Academy, where junior cadets are now being targeted in order to transform military leadership in the decades ahead.

According to an Aug. 22 article in American Family News, Air Force Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Rod Bishop said he was informed  that Academy has begun left-wing “sex education” briefings.

Bishop noted that DEI ideology is rooted in Marxism, and he is concerned that “Either senior leadership has been indoctrinated themselves…

Bishop is chairman of Stand Together Against Racism and Radicalism in the Services, Inc. (STARRS) – a group of veterans standing against “woke” ideology in the U.S. military and its service academies.

Bishop said cadets are currently undergoing DEI training with specific instructions to not to take pictures or record the sessions. These cadets are on track to become the next generation of Air Force officers.

According to Bishop, the cadets are authoritative trained to believe that “gender is how you see yourself,” and they are told to “respect the gender choices of those who will be reporting to them.”

American Family News reported that multiple parents of cadets say their children have been “subjected to a male calculus teacher who wears a female uniform to class.”

Bishop noted that DEI ideology is rooted in Marxism, and he is concerned that “Either senior leadership has been indoctrinated themselves; or they are just saluting smartly and following directions from leftist-leaning civilian leadership, not taking a stand against this politicalization, indoctrination, and cultural change being forced upon the military.”

The Biden Administration’s insistence on pushing DEI on servicemen has drawn the ire of many House Republicans who now want to eliminate all Department of Defense funding for this indoctrination, while banning military drag shows and critical race theory initiatives.

According to Stripes.com, the 45-member House Freedom Caucus is vowing to vote down any government funding stopgap that fails to “end the left’s cancerous woke policies in the Pentagon undermining our military’s core warfighting mission.”

“Our military is supposed to defend America, not cater to every left-wing clown,” Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., posted on X. Crane served with the Navy SEALs.

In addition to opposing DEI indoctrination, the Freedom Caucus wants to ban taxpayer funding for transgender “health care” in the military, as well as abortion-related travel and services.

If the Democrats double-down in demanding these services, it could lead to a partial government shutdown. The House is debating a temporary funding bill for the 2024 fiscal year. Failure to pass it could delay pay for troops beginning Oct. 1.

The military’s increasingly aggressive DEI mission comes at a time when the armed forces are struggling to recruit new troops and suffering from record low public confidence.

I like Rep. Eli Crane’s position. He has it correct. military is there to do a job nobody else wants to do. They need to do tgat job and it’s not catering to left wing WOKE bigots!

    • Elizabeth Henry says:

Yes it how do we get rid of these people? Basically the military is allowing cult indoctrination. The sexual obsession is now more important than defending our country and the snowflake leaders we evidently now have running our military machine are apparently useless. Our enemies certainly are not engaging in such stupidity and foolishness.

  • Proud Alaskan says:

All these Woke wussy boys and girls. Are going to get us all kil!ed in war time, plus they will put down there rifles, because they don’t want to hurt the enemies feelings. Then these Woke crybabies will crawl back under there rock to hide and cry to mommy.
STOP the craziness, America needs to stand up and fight this bull cra@

  • Chuck Anziulewicz says:

Unit cohesion is the goal. If you enlist in the military for the admirable goal of serving your country, but then you find yourself getting uncomfortable or even angry because of the race, religion, or sexual orientation of someone you’re working with, it can have a negative impact on unit cohesion. That’s why DEI training is important.

    • George says:

DEI – Diversity means anti-white racism. Equity means pure communism. And inclusion means incompetence. How does any of that lead to unit cohesion? It doesn’t because the goal of DEI training is the destruction of America. Got that Air Force?

    • Steve Chappell says:

No what is important is war fighting skills not DEI. I don’t care what you do in your off time but don’t bring it into the warfighting job we have in the military. I served during the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell time and I could care less about what you want to do when behind closed doors but if it effects your ability to defend those on your right and left flank them that is a problem.

  • Steve Peterson says:

The spineless GOP majority in the House needs to actually say “no”, and defund this ridiculous social engineering. The Airforce has been the brunt of jokes for decades, but now it seems they truly deserve it. The military exists for one purpose only: defense. Since Obama it has become the left’s Petri dish for experimentation in every kind of aberration.

  • Friend of Humanity says:

Is this why Richard Levine came to Alaska? What was butthead’s real purpose here?

    • Arctic Blast says:

FOH Great Question ! Why does Richard Levine even have a job, let alone a travel allowance ?? If he feels the need to come and the O’Biden regime sanctions his travel, then let him come visit in January.

  • Judy says:

I am sorry Mr Cruz had the wrong definition of diversity, equity and inclusion. I most certainly would be willing to debate this young man. I doubt he would do that though because I wouldn’t be told to listen to him. I lived DEI for two years working for the library.

  • Shelia says:

When I was in the military we were all the same, no color barrier or anything else. We were trained to react automatically to commands to save ourselves and others. Everyone belonged to the same unit. Period. DEI was not needed. It was instinctive and ingrained in all of us. We were all brothers and sisters. So what is happening now?

  • jon says:

Why don’t the MAGAs like DEI? Because they are bigots

    • Friend of Humanity says:

jon, please go join the reserves or the army and tell us how that DEI training kept you safe out on the battle field when your fellow comrads are supposed to have your back and instead are trying to dress your back in a flimsy shirt or are too busy worrying about if they are going to break a painted fingernail or not. DEI is another one of the stupidest things ever that the globalists/leftists could come up with.
