The newly launched Mat-Su chapter of Moms for Liberty is backing two conservatives Mat-Su School Board candidates for reelection – Ole Larson and Kathy McCollum.
Earlier this month, the group issued an official endorsement for Larson, who is attempting to stave off a strong challenge from hard-left candidate Dianne Shibe. McCollum, is also backed by Moms for Liberty, with several of the group’s recent Facebook posts urging members support her. McCollum is trying to defend her seat against left-leaning candidate Sydney Zuyus.
“With Kathy’s extensive experience of working with the school district, we will work towards a brighter future for our children’s education,” the group’s website states. “Re-Elect Kathy McCollum for School Board by November 7th!”
The endorsement for Larson states that he “has proven himself in his fight for parental rights. Get out and vote November 7, 2023!”
Mat-Su Moms for Liberty officially launched earlier this year. It is part of a network of more than 300 chapters in 47 states with 120,000 members.

The organization’s main goal is to stand up for parental rights at all levels of government and to inspire residents to “stoke the fires of liberty.”
Across the country, Moms for Liberty chapters work to remove woke policies and controversial curriculum from public schools and libraries throughout the nation.
Mat-Su’s Moms for Liberty meets monthly to discuss key public policy issues and proposals, review school curriculum, highlight important political races and strategize ways of advancing the group’s larger mission. Members are encouraged to attend local school board and other governmental meetings as issues arise.

Shibe and Zuyus will support having our kids learn how to have oral and anal sex and other lewd material not appropriate for school-aged children if they get elected on the board. Kathy McCollum and Ole Larson consistently held their ground against the evil that was being pushed on our children. Save the children by electing Kathy McCollum and Ole Larson!

Lucinda, I do not think about sex a lot. However, I do think about how our society is mirroring Sodom and Gomorrah. We can prevent this by turning back to our All Mighty Creator, asking for his forgiveness and repenting. By the way, it is still not too late for you to repent and to ask for our Heavenly Father to guide your life Lucinda.

No one has to prove anything to YOU Lucinda. The only one that we answer to is the Creator of all creation.
Someone should start a moms for Liberty in Chugiak/Eagle River too.

That is so weird Lucinda. I cannot see why that is necessary because God Almighty knows what is in their hearts already. He knows what is in your heart also. Don’t forget that it is not too late for you to repent and ask for forgiveness of your sins Lucinda. God Almighty wants everyone to be saved.
That IS weirdFoH. If god knows everything in everyone’s heart, then why do you all organize and try to tweak His process? God’s in charge, yes? Why pray to change his mind if he already has a plan for you. Seems blasphemous. Who are you to petition a supreme being?
And I’ve said this before, I’ve never sinned. So zippo there. And if god wants me to be saved – cool – he’s omnipotent, so he’ll save me. No concern there.
So consider this: your god is so great that he wants me saved despite that I’m a progressive overly educated liberal atheist. Yay god!
Moms for Liberty are banning books that should be on the shelves. Don’t. you know that if children find a book is banned they will. be sure to find it and read it. I buy books that are banned and send them to my grandchildren.
