U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan was part of a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators who traveled to Saudi Arabia on Oct. 20 as part of a larger trip to the Middle East to show solidarity and support for Israel and speak with officials regarding current political affairs in order to ensure stability and security in the region.
A notice from Sullivan’s office stated that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia have “a common interest in preserving the stability, security, and prosperity of the Gulf region and consult closely on a wide range of regional and global issues. Saudi Arabia plays an important role in working toward a peaceful and prosperous future for the region.”
Sullivan has advocated for increased conversation with the United States’ Middle Eastern allies to prevent the worsening of the conflict, especially in regards to the role Iran played in the devastating Hamas terror attacks earlier this month.

In a recent appearance on The Fox News Rundown Podcast, Sullivan emphasized the Biden Administration’s dangerous appeasement of Iran and called for freezing $6 billion in Iranian assets and immediate action by the administration in the form of stronger sanction enforcement.
Other members of the bipartisan delegation to Saudi Arabia included Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut), Cory Booker (D-New Jersey), Katie Britt (R-Alabama), Ben Cardin (D-Maryland), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Chris Coons (D-Delaware), Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island), and John Thune (R-South Dakota).
