Nick Begich, who is challenging Democratic U.S. Rep. Mary Peltola in the upcoming November 2024 election, just picked up an endorsement from former U.S. presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

The accomplished entrepreneur, author, and former presidential candidate took to Twitter (X) to praise Begich.

“[Nick is] going to prioritize the interests of Alaskans, he’s going to prioritize the interests of Americans,” Ramaswamy said. “He’s also somebody who understands not just where the puck is, but where it’s going.”

Ramaswamy added, “… I do think it’s going to take a fresh batch of leaders to drive change, not just in our party, but in this country. And so, I’m going to encourage you all to vote for Nick Begich. I’m going to help him in any way I can.”

The Begich campaign issued an immediate comment, noting that Ramaswamy is a “dynamic and innovative voice in the political landscape,” and someone who “embodies a fresh, new blend of entrepreneurship and conservative values” that are rooted in “freedom, individual responsibility, and a strong, unapologetic defense of American ideals.”

Begich said he was honored to have Ramaswamy’s endorsement.

“Vivek has articulated a clear and compelling vision for America and Americans, one of abundance, shared values, and prosperity,” he said. “His support underlines the important role Alaska can play in the nation’s future – and the importance of this election. Alaska has a critical role to play in America’s resurgence, and I look forward to bringing Alaska’s cause to DC.”

Begich’s and Ramaswamy’s video announcement can be viewed here.

Nick can you beat Dalhstrom and peltola? God I hope so!

  • Jon and Ruth Ewig says:

When Dahlstrom signed up, we knew the fix was in. Who paid Dahlstrom to run against Begich. Nancy said she is running against Peltola. No, not true. She is running against Begich. Who is paying her to jump in? Big money, no doubt. Keep praying as we are. Pray for repentance and revival.

Here is another interesting thought. Remember this whole system is designed (thanks to the globalists) to make us think that we have choices and that we need to rally behind the person we would want “representing” us. WHAT IF NBIII has been groomed to act, walk and talk like a republican, so everyone gets all excited and rallies behind him to win. WHAT IF after he wins he does as he is instructed by the globalists; which is to continue what Mary was doing, but to put the final nail in the coffin? Remember that the globalists have been very patient in this take down of America – several hundred years now getting everything set up? Well, at least since the early 1900s. I, too, think that Dahlstrom was thrown into the hat to make people rally behind Begich and work harder to make sure he wins. Either way, I think that we do not have a true conservative, humanity-loving Republican running to represent that seat…period.

I have no idea what makes you go to that thought process. I can tell you as a close friend of Nick Begich III and a huge donor to his campaign that what you are speculating couldn’t be further from the truth. You obviously don’t know Nick, as I have known him well before he announced his run. I have know idea why Nancy is running; you will know from us on the Begich side, who are real conservatives and support him based on conservative principles, that we want to beat Mary and the best thing is indeed for Nancy to exit now and focus on the job Alaskans elected her to do and ensure we have election integrity.

I appreciate your input John. My reason for going to this thought process is stated in the beginning of my comment. Considering that NBIII comes from a strong democratic family, it is hard to shake that thought that he is being put in that position. I don’t “trust” anyone at this point and am certainly not going to “trust” your endorsement any more then I would “trust” the Palin family’s endorsement of him or anyone else. Of course you are going to say good things about him if he is a close friend of yours. I have researched and am drawing my conclusions from all of the information that I have found on NBIII that is available on the internet. His businesses, his business partners, his business ties with his democrat uncles, his ties to the mining industry, his previous positions and people that he has worked with (did those he worked with include Murkowski, Sullivan and Peltola? Just asking-not sure), and going on the fact that he keeps trying and trying and trying – refer back to my opening sentence. Now, we have Nikki Haley running against President Trump and losing at every turn, but she keeps trying and trying and trying and won’t quit. Why?
Nancy Dahlstrom…why is she even allowed to run in this race when she is overseeing it? My gosh! Haven’t we seen that situation somewhere else in the lower 48? Totally inappropriate on her part.
Sad thing is that besides these two that are both probably put in by the globalists to make us think we have a choice, we don’t have anyone else who is actually not tied to the globalists that has their hat in the ring. This is too bad. Going to be interesting times for Alaskans.

Ginny, I wanted to reply back to your well written and thoughtful reply to mine. I don’t know why the system did not include a reply under yours; so, I am replying again to friend of Humanity. Ginny, I totally understand your position, as I said I am a close friend of Nick’s that friendship has grown since I began knowing Nick early 2021 and I want you to know that I questioned Nick Begich very hard on the issues from Pro-life, and yes regarding connections with his family, including connections with Murkowski and Sullivan, as I didn’t know Nick. Nick’s mother is a Republican and so is Nick’s mother’s grandparents, who raised Nick and his younger sister in Florida; Nick father Nick Begich II is a Libertarian. You will find that Nick’s uncle former Senator Mark Begich came out supporting Mary Peltola not Nick and so did Nick’s other uncle State Senator Tom Begich, who said in a public interview, why would he support Nick, because Nick is a conservative that is true. If you haven’t had a chance to talk to Nick and here him explain the issues in Washington DC, the continued spending of our money for programs and projects that are not benefiting Alaskan’s and driving our country further into trillions of dollars in debt. You will find as you dig deeper and talk to Nick that I am not just telling these things, because we are friends, that is true we are, but I told Nick my support would be based on if I believed he was the most conservative choice and after hours of communication with Nick and questioning and yes, that did lead to him and I becoming closer friends because we communicated so much and saw the issues our country faced with the same vision and a passion to correct this terrible direction hurting Alaskans. So, I want to be clear you questions, I understand, but you need to attend Nick’s events and ask him and once you hear him and I have listened to him say the exact same things he tells me in private that he tells in public and hasn’t changed since he first ran for Congress. The choice is up to you, but I would highly suggest you vote and support Nick in 2024, because if we don’t we will have Mary Peltola continuing to take our nation and state down a radical leftist direction that a majority of Alaskan’s don’t want. Plus, Nick has endorsed Trump for 2024, he has been endorsed by Congressman Byron Donald’s, a congressman who has received huge praise by President Trump and fellow conservatives. You need to know those, who have endorsed Nick and in addition to myself out here publicly supporting Nick have done our research and are not just blindly backing him.

      • Ginny says:

John, my choices are NBIII or the lady who should not be running at all due to her current role in elections. I sures to heck am not voting for Dahlstrom. If I don’t “rank” NBIII, then Mary for sure is going to win. This election for that seat is rigged as far as I am concerned. Thank you for the response.

  • Neil DeWitt says:

Why was it Nick didn’t get in during tge original race? Why would it be any different this time? We still have RCV so do we put Nick in tge number two stop so after the vote he can move into the chair? Make me think. How about you?

Thank you all, for your comments and opinions.
I liked NBIII (Nick Begich III) in his previous run and I like him now.
Lots of games are played in Alaska politics. Long gone are the days of clean up on isle 1 – and back we are in the Exxon days of the good old boys club, especially in Juneau politics.
Thanks to the internet it is a bit more easy to pay attention to the bought and paid for – of where the funds come that bank roll the contenders – vs. ‘I got a bad feel for the last name’ vote choice.
Recall how Palin ran on the ticket with NBIII on a RCV ballot and Alaska got stuck with a ‘Pet’ of the Dems? beware of this happening again.
Repubs need to hone up and get smarter. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot – or both feet as is habit.

    • Friend of Humanity says:

Lynn, I blame the AK GOP for allowing Palin and Begich to be on the ballot together. If they would put on their big girl panties, quit bowing to the overlords and listen to the voters in this state, we would not be having these problems. The AK GOP – just like our National GOP do not listen to the people. It is sad that we are in this mess.

    • Friend of Humanity says:

Waiting for the other post to appear! Lynn, the AK GOP needs to hone up and get smarter! Don’t be blaming the conservatives who ARE out there trying to make a difference when we have a lof of rino reps and rino GOP that just won’t leave until they have sunk the ship.
