Do Anchorage voters want a Planned Parenthood-endorsed, far-left activist at the helm of the mayor’s office? Do they want to pay $5 million for glorified port-a-potties? Are they on board with throwing $63 million at their rapidly shrinking and academically underperforming government schools? Do they want to further empower the leftist Assembly to dictate a conservative mayor’s official appointments?

These are just some of the issues at play in the April 2 citywide election. So far, only about 40,000 ballots have been cast. That’s just 17% of registered voters. Where are all the others?

If you’re tired of a small minority of residents choosing who will lead Alaska’s largest city, there is still time left to turn the tide. Click these links for details on candidates and ballot props and voting options.

Will conservative voters turn the tide in what could be a sea change election in Anchorage?

Praying for Anchorage to be getting out and voting. Anchorage, the state is watching.

  • Patricia Baum says:

    Get out and VOTE!!

How is it that every year the school board says they need to borrow a bunch of money for security upgrades, and then those upgrades never actually happen? Can we send out a referendum requiring public accounting and forensic studies concerning what the school board ends up spending all this borrowed money on? They are borrowing it from us, after all.

DOMINION MACHINES WILL DECIDE,,,DEMAND PAPER BALLOTS. OR GET WHAT YOU ARE GIVEN…

      True sadly

I did think about that when I cast my Ballot and saw that LaFrance and Bronson were right next to each other on the Ballot. Not sure how or who decides the order the names are listed on the ballot? I wonder if I could check to see how my ballot was registered during the vote running process. I know who I voted for and if my Ballot were to be counted differently, then that would have to be raised as a concern of Fraud by the election officials.

Agree, one vote in person on voting day with ID
If you don’t vote you have no say, so no complaining.

  • Dee Cee says:

You don’t need to cheat. Anchorage citizens will overwhelmingly vote blue and vote in favor of all the things Joel described above. Conservatives quagmire themselves every time with in fighting and virtue signaling: I’m more conservative than you are! Let me show you! Get a clue, folks. The left votes in line with the party and their unions EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They have strategies, they have manpower, they have money. But most importantly they have COOPERATION. Something conservatives truly suck at. We’ll lose on all point above, mark my words.

Anchorage is severely screwed……….we all know it.

  • Jeanette Exner says:

Be honest with Anchorage voters. Be up front with the fact that you want to de-fund the public school system. See where that gets you.

    • Dee Cee says:

Not defund: move the money. Voucher system. That way schools are forced to compete and the worst schools will wither and die.

  • Rep. David Eastman says:

The next election will be won, not on Election Day, but in battles fought every day leading up to Election Day. Those who would run your lives fight every day to do so. They manipulate you into focusing on and yearning for a single, “decisive victory” on Election Day, but that is not what they tell themselves and their supporters.

Slavery awaits those who trust in a process dominated by the left to yield conservative results. Yes, vote, but don’t stop there. Determine if those who claim to support you in public office actually do so (hint: they don’t, and won’t until you are just as demanding as those on the left).

Don’t believe the lie that those individuals who suffered under communism, socialism and fascism were your inferiors, that they were somehow less deserving of freedom and you more so. Freedom wasn’t passed to you in the bloodstream. You won’t continue to enjoy what freedoms you have today because of your birth or who your parents were.

You will not begin to see victory in politics until your level of dedication to that victory rivals that of your opponents. Lord have mercy.

    • Friend of Humanity says:

Very true Rep Eastman. So many still keep sitting on their duffs waiting for…magic (?) to happen and expecting that others will take care of this. We ALL have to be involved as this is leading up to our last stand to have humanity continue on. Indeed, Lord have mercy!

  • Mike Hayden says:

Most of Anchorage is hoping that you Alaska Watchman, Must Read Alaska and Save Anchorage folks will finally realize that your run is over.

    • Dee Cee says:

Is Suzy loses, will you claim it’s because we conservatives cheated?
Next question: If Suzy loses can we call her Suzy-Loozy?

    • Friend of Humanity says:

Hayden, “Most of Anchorage” is a fallacy. It may be your dream, but it is not a reality. This election was rigged.

  • Tata says:

Ha! DC. The whole election cheating thing belongs to conservatives. If LaFrance wins, y’all will be pissing yourselves and pulling out the Republican manual of screw everyone but us.

    • Friend of Humanity says:

^^^A leftist once again accusing honest folks of what the lefties are actually doing. You know, this cheating that is going on affects ALL parties involved. Honest, law-abiding Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Independent, and Undeclared (forget the rest!) folks just want honest and fair elections. But, the lefty demonrats only know how to cheat and cheat they do!
