For several years now, employees in Gov. Mike Dunleavy’s State Health Department have aggressively pushed a so-called “School Health Model,” which encourages Alaska school districts across the state to adopt a program that embraces DEI, gender-fluidity and sexual health counseling.
According to the State of Alaska website, the publicly-funded program uses the “Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child” model, which was developed in collaboration with government agencies and nonprofits to “promote the overall health of students and the school setting.”
Alaska’s School Health Model website encourages visitors to check out the “Virtual Healthy School’s website for an interactive overview of the model and how it should be implemented. The site gives detailed suggestions about how schools can create “healthy” academic environments.
One link depicts an ideal 9-12th grade class, which includes a prominent LGBTQ rainbow poster that states “I am an ally.”
One link includes interactive cartoon drawings that showcase how one “model” school counselor uses her office to indoctrinate students with “lessons on tolerance through the counseling program.” The imaginary counselor’s office includes a rainbow colored “diversity makes us stronger” poster that urges students to embrace elements of the LGBTQ agenda.
“She knows adolescent students may have concerns about body image, so she displays posters that encourage acceptance of all body types and genders,” the website states. “In addition to her use of posters, she communicates inclusion when she engages with students in counseling sessions, in classroom guidance lessons, and throughout the comprehensive school counseling program.”
Another link takes visitors to an exemplary “School Based Health Center,” in which students are offered “a full range of reproductive health services, including birth control.” The term, “full range of reproductive health,” is typically used by pro-abortion educators and activists to include abortion referrals and counseling.

Alaska is currently in the process of establishing government funded School Based Heath Centers across the state, including in rural villages.
Another link on the website depicts an ideal 9-12th grade class, which includes a prominent LGBTQ rainbow poster that states “I am an ally.” The website notes that the exemplary classroom teacher promotes “a wide range of clubs and activities so that all of her students can find a place to belong and contribute,” while making it known “that her classroom is a safe space, meaning students can privately talk with her about concerns or issues they may have in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.”
In 2023, Alaska received a five-year (2023–2028) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cooperative agreement to promote its healthy schools agenda, which also includes social-emotional learning and individual and group counseling for students on a wide range of topics.

These schools need to stick to the three Rs”. Reading, writing, and arithmetic, end of story.
Not this perverted, woke, sick, disgusting bull, should I go on?
The parents are the ones to teach there kids, right from wrong.
RUN DUNLEAVY AND HIS BS OUT OF THIS STATE IMMEDIATELY!
Just yuck. We are living in a world.
Homeschool your kids people. Why would you entrust your sweeties to this kind of garbage?
And this is why the NEA wants to get rid of home schooling. They have very little control over students when their parents are in charge of their kid’s education. My niece home schools her kids. They are getting a much better education.

Focus on god & mental health, idiots.
PUT THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS! YES PARENTS ARE NAIVE! DUNLEAVY HAS THE LEVERS OF POWER! WAKE THE HELL UP OR GET STERILIZED!
What happened to the basic message of Mr Rogers?
Heidi, what the hell are you thinking? How is this happening?
Governor, did you sign off on this?

“Alaska is currently in the process of establishing government funded School Based Heath Centers across the state, including in rural villages.” – Can you imagine how this is going to blow up the BSA? The state doubled the”budget” in 10 years, tripled the budget in 16. Parents are in charge of student health, not the government. This is just an oblique toe-in-the-door for the last vestiges of parental control to be severed. Parents ought to be up in arms over this, as should be local property taxpayers.
“ Parents are in charge of student health, not the government.” What are you going to do when your child contracts measles; ivermectin?
Parents will do what parents do. They will take care of their child.
It is a pity you didn’t have loving parents, Manny. This explains why you want to make Government everyone’s nanny. Please stop pushing your childhood trauma onto the rest of us.
Medicine exists with or without government. Can you?
