A newly released poll by the AARP shows Democrats leading in the U.S. Senate and gubernatorial races.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Democrat Mary Peltola leads among all likely voters, polling at 46%, followed by incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan with 41%. Candidate Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. (also known as “Decoy Dan”) and Republican Gerald Heikes follow at 4% and 3%, respectively.
In the gubernatorial race, hard-left Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins holds the lead, polling at 40%, followed by Republican Bernadette Wilson at 20%, Republican Dave Bronson at 14%, and Republican Treg Taylor at 7%.
In the race for U.S. Congress, Republican Incumbent Nick Begich leads left-wing Independent Bill Hill 45% to 31%, with 9% picking Democrat Eric Hafner, 3% favoring Libertarian James McDermott, and 11% undecided.
AARP commissioned the bipartisan polling team of Fabrizio Ward (R) and Impact Research (D) to survey likely Alaska voters. It’s part of the group’s survey of battleground states.
In Alaska, the poll included interviews with 800 likely voters statewide. The survey was done between September 8-11, and interviews were conducted via live interviewer on cell phone (40%) and landline (15%), as well as SMS-to-web (45%). The sample was randomly drawn from the Alaska voter list. The margin of sampling error at the 95% confidence level for the 800 statewide sample is ±3.5%.

Reepublican candidates NATIONWIDE are going to do poorly in the Novembeer midterms, and they will have no one to blame more than the petulant child in the Oval Office. The people I know who voted for Trump in 2024 say they wanted him to secure the border wiith Mexico and lower inflation. And to his credit, the border has been sercure. Everything else has been bluster and self-glorification. Optics matter, and Trump’s optics have been horrible. Renaming international bodies of water, hanging giant banners with his scowling face on government buildings in DC, bulding monuments to his implacable vanity, threatening to annex Canada and Greenland, putting his name and face on buildings, coins, passplorts, paper currenccy, etc. Everyone but the most fiercely devoted MAGA cultists hates this. The GOP might do bettter if Trump would dial it down a few notches, but he’s become too utterly demented to realize that.
Is America better and safer with Trump or Kamala? I voted for Trump, with Kamala, put your mask back on, open the boarders, nothing here to see, should I go on?
And NOW Trump says his proposed ARCH in DC is going to be a military post with drone and snipers. I’m sure you love THAT, too.
America is not safer under Trump. We are at war that is widening as I write. It is not better under Trump. Trump is spending money on vanity projects and golfing instead of working to lower food and gas prices.
Anything coming out of left-leaning AARP and the “bipartisan” polling team they hired is suspect.

AARP is indeed left leaning. I have been a member in the past. All one needs to do is read their position on numerous topics. Their left leaning perspective is, at least in part, if not entirely, why AMAC exists as an alternative to AARP.
Exactly, we canceled AARP after they supported the Far Left Candidates. Peltola is a Token. 6 of us in my family were out of State for Preliminaries, that six votes coming for Sullivan
AARP will always endorse a democrat over a republican, so why would anyone believe a poll financed by AARP?
Because Democrats are for senior health care and social security. Republicans are trying hard to take it away.

AARP? Senior citizen representation for mostly the left leaning, who were the polling subjects. Very slanted poll. AMAC (Association of Mature American Citizens) needs to poll their members and see what they come up with as they represent conservative seniors.
I’ve participated in two polls via phone in the last week, conducted by out of state research orgs. I was glad to have the opportunity to say that abortion is the most important issue facing our state and our nation. The pollsters I talked to were also grateful to learn the proper pronunciation of “Begich.”
I never respond to polls same as ALL of my conservative friends. We cannot stand the constant calls, text messages, TV, and Radio ads. from the Political Industrial Complex. So any polls conducted by any group that has a looong History Democrat leaning is suspect.

The thing about these polls is that every conservative knows they are driven by the liberals therefore we refuse to participate. Every single conservative I know plays by this simple rule. Only the more senior of us elderly wand liberalism, mainly because of some dislike for the personality traits they assign to the President. Paul Hart’s comment above is evidence of this. All this said, I wouldn’t put any value in an AARP POLL.
We just received a letter from AMAC that exposed Soros involvement through the Tide Foundation with its environmental bent, abortion, and all the left-leaning indoctrination. Those poor seniors in AARP.
JKT will stay ahead as long as the second and fifth place finishers Bronson and Taylor do not suspend, so they can support Wilson. Then Wilson will jump ahead or JKT.
JKT is only ahead only because the republican likely voters are split in rank order.
As long as Bronson and Taylor are in the race for the winner. Then by logic JKT will be the state’s next governor.
Even if they suspend, I doubt they could convince their constituents to rank the radio star # 1. That would be a hard sell for thinking people.
Just REMEMBER, to get out and vote. If not we’re going to lose this election. And definitely vote YES on prop #2 .

This is disheartening. But For Watchman to trust AARP makes me think he is not engaged with the time. AARP is left wing
