President Donald Trump is keeping his promise to fly to Alaska before the midterm election and is scheduled to headline a midterm campaign rally in Wasilla on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
According to an event listing from the Republican National Committee, the gathering is set for the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center in Wasilla. Doors open at noon. The program is listed to start at 2 p.m., with Trump scheduled to take the stage at 3:30 p.m. Attendance is capped at four tickets per person, and registration is not complete until the attendee confirms by phone.
The rally is being organized through Trump 47 Committee, Inc., a joint fundraising committee that includes the Republican National Committee and Save America.
The Wasilla date comes days after Vice President JD Vance appeared in Fairbanks on Monday to rally support for Sullivan’s reelection campaign. Sullivan, seeking a third term, is being challenged by Democrat Mary Peltola and another self-described Republican candidate who shares his same first and last name.
