Alright, the headline itself tells you the content of this column. And while my family has been aligned with Mayor Bronson’s career, I will not exclude the other two conservatives from the readership’s consideration. It is hard not to like them.
We live in a sparsely populated state, and the likelihood of our interactions with our state officials is much higher than in other states. In a way, it’s unfair to them, but a great advantage for the voters – and each candidate’s critics.
I like the other conservative candidates because they are pro-life. If you are sick of hearing about the abortion issue and think that it is not that important, frankly, you are mistaken.
“The future of Alaska! Our children and grandchildren! We need change! We can’t let Alaska go down the drain!”
The Left and Right proclaim this together, with vastly different solutions, of course. But if you haven’t noticed, we have low birth rates, high abortion rates, high homosexuality and contraception rates.
And there is no future without children. The schools, which have done a lot in promoting this problem, are beginning to notice that. And if you are waiting for a Perfect World to have kids, think again. YOU were born in an imperfect world, as was every human being who ever existed.
With that, “Rank 1,2,3, not JKT.” Do not waste your ballot by exhausting it with one lone choice. Conservatives hate RCV, but if we are stuck with it, for God’s sake, use it until we lose it.
I am ranking Dave Bronson first because he is the most mature and experienced candidate. We don’t need to be told that his tenure as Anchorage Mayor was difficult, even futile, but it was a great antidote to having a cooperative neo-Marxist rubber-stamping the Assembly.
And he, above all others, understands that we do not have “three co-equal branches of government.” If you want change – real change that will cause the Democrats and RINOs to totally flip out – Bronson will do something that will make national news: he will utilize the powers granted to Alaskan governors to stop judicial tyranny in its tracks by wielding Article 3, Section 16 of the State Constitution. Look up my previous columns if you don’t understand what that means.
It means that whether or not we repeal RCV by voting YES! on Proposition 2, RCV will be dead meat with a Bronson governorship. Why? Because it was illegally approved for the ballot by a lower court – not even the State Supreme Court – in 2020.
There is a law that demands that all citizen initiatives be limited to a single subject. The RCV initiative of 2020 had four. And the law still stands! Instead, the lower court judge, Yvonne Lamoureux, using her own Leftist political bias to masquerade as “constitutional,” allowed it to go to the voters.
Why? Because she thought that the multiple-subject initiative was really only ONE.
Now you might see why leftists are so dangerous: they think unborn babies are not fully human, men simply will themselves into being women, and four actually equals one. They don’t do biology or math very well.
But Bronson does.
Treg Taylor does too, but he thinks that the judiciary’s rulings are binding. Almost laughably, he said that the State Constitution requires it! You can go blind trying to find it.
Democrats always fake going toward the middle, then, upon victory, run to the extreme Left. A JKT governorship will reawaken the madness…
The law schools never tell you otherwise, but the state and federal constitutions do. He believes that anarchy will follow if we don’t obey the courts, you see? I told him we already are in anarchy, and it’s the judiciary that gave it to us. Through them, our election laws are flouted, and humanity is being exterminated.
Treg Taylor will not bring us change, but only the status quo. He has proved that by his unwillingness to challenge Supreme Court Order 1993 and the emasculation of our Grand Jury rights when he was the Attorney General. Bernadette Wilson does not act with the maturity we expect from a governor. Someday she might. She is dynamic and talks a good game, but why would she refuse to answer The Watchman’s questionnaires, then fail to show up to major debates? If she becomes governor, I hope that she can run the State of Alaska better than she has done in her personal, family, and business life. She has been protected in the suppression of the details until now – details that she has refused to meet head-on.
But she will still get my ranked vote, unlike how some of her supporters are advising for the conservative opponents. Ranking Wilson will be better than a candidate from the Lunatic Asylum that is also known as the Democratic Party.
Democrats always fake going toward the middle, then, upon victory, run to the extreme Left. A JKT governorship will reawaken the madness of this demonically controlled political party.
We will get:
— Propagandized public schools that destroy parental rights.
— Social credit scores, accompanied by new and yet-unimagined Green tyranny, which will lead to useless wind turbines and solar panels, deliberate disdain for fossil fuels, electric car subsidies, and rolling blackouts.
— Continued uninvestigated and unprosecuted vandalism to churches, crisis pregnancy centers, and private schools.
— Nothing to change the continued distrust of election integrity, brought about by RCV, voting machines, and mail-in ballots.
— Drag-queen story hours, Rainbow-infected libraries, men in women’s sports, locker rooms and restrooms.
— A continued control of Alaska by the federal bureaucracy in regard to our lands and seas, the only true source of wealth that we possess.
— A continued control of Alaska by the state bureaucracy, erasure of the PFD, and a state income tax.
— And above all, adoration of the Crown Jewel of their party: abortion-on-demand, all nine months of pregnancy, and its expansion to include tolerated infanticide and euthanasia.
I am not a Republican. Many conservatives aren’t either. Think for yourself and make your first choice, but for your own sake and that of your descendants:
RANK 1, 2, 3. Just not JKT.

Bob does not say which candidate he would rank second. He names Bronson as his first choice and says he would also rank Wilson and Taylor, but leaves their order unstated, His criticisms point in different directions. He faults Taylor for his approach to the courts and SCO 1993! He questions Wilson’s readiness to govern. But doesn’t mention her position why not, Bob? So believing Bob’s reasons for choosing Bronson does not produce a clear second choice: that depends on which of those two concerns matters more to the Conservative voter. My question now is, whom do these Conservative Candidates intend to be their AG pick, to argue for Judicial reform? Its anyone’s guess but Bob’s Son has work for Bronson before and is currently suing the Alaska DoL !
Alaskans don’t want a return to the same “Dunleavy musical chairs AG’s” & nothing changes! When was the last time a candidate lies to you? Bronson is already claiming he is going RINO with the Legislature! Anyone see TAXES on the horizon!!! I do, Liberty Ed

No, I listed them in alphabetical order. Nice try, attempting to read my mind, because I have not made up my own yet. And what difference does it make? BOTH Bronson & Taylor are asking us to RANK them 1, 2, 3. But RED. Kindly stick to the issue: think for yourself, make your own first choice, and rank the other two according to your own judgement. Just don’t list JKT as ANY pick. Result: if the elections are honest, we WILL get a conservative in the Gov’s mansion.
What exactly will Bronson do as Governor that he couldn’t do as Mayor of Anchorage? He accomplished nearly nothing, because he could not find a way to work with the loons in the Assembly. He whined that they were against him, instead of finding ways to make that work. Yes, it was a thankless job. But he ran for that position, so he must have had a plan of some kind. We never saw it come to fruition. I don’t think he will do any better with the various dingbats in the State Legislature. He is not the sort of person to work with people, even if he has principles and ethics. I expect Bernadette will find a way to work with everyone in the Legislature, but of course that remains to be seen. I understand that Bob Bird has already judged her as some kind of libertine, which she is not, but that is based more on Bob than on Bernadette. As the highest vote getter, maybe we should consider backing her instead of the fellow that couldn’t do a darned thing and ended up spending all kinds of money on a job that didn’t get done.
She is not some sort of libertine? How, then, do you explain her boudoir photo shoot making its way around the internet, or twice getting pregnant outside the bounds of marriage? Bob’s comment about her lacking maturity is not off the mark.
Yes rank the republicans> 1, 2, 3. For numbers 4 and up, rank the write-ins of yourself, your spouse, or your dog, any body, but a democrat. Let’s beat them at their own game and hope we have a game-changer, with Ballot Measure #2.
Or just leave it blank because you don’t actually have to fill them all out since it takes more time to fill in pointless crap that no one will care about on your ballot.
The Dems know there will be no second round, because they have consolidated their lead – which in the primary already exceeded the totals of all 3 Republicans – into one candidate. Therefore, voting 123 Republican in Any order will hand over AK to the Dems.

I attended a meeting last Saturday where one of the presentations was on Legislative issues – concerning veterans.
At the end, she added… ‘oh and those who think cheating can occure, it can’t. People who think that cheating can happen in Alaska are dead wrong – there’s no voter cheating!’ laughing while proclaiming this. (she also described going into senior citizen homes and hospitals to pick up ballots – from ‘veterans’) – ballot harvesting much ????
She then went on to say how GOOD RCV is – so people get a choice of candidates, and should only vote for ONE candidate – (stating very sweetly) ‘just vote for ONE you like’.
She had phamplets on RCV rules she was making available if needed. Unfortunately I was not present at the event to pick one up.
Now, I’ll bet you can’t guess which party she backs….(hint: she enjoys being in the company of Elvi Gray-Jackson)
BTW: Because I recently did a Grok search on problem voting in Alaska I did learn a few things: In Alaska’s November 2024 general election, officials rejected 1303 absentee ballots (mail in). The biggest chunk was witness signatures. 512 tossed for improper or insufficient witnessing – nearly 40% of the total. 118 tossed for a mismatched voter identifier, 57 for no identifier, 105 missing voter signature, 137 postmarked after Eletion Day and 83 arrived too late (small percentage for duplicates or empty envelopes).
BIGGEST issue after rejected mail-in ballots: There’s no cure process in Alaska, so voters don’t get a chance to fix the envelope after the fact. Our leftist legislature served up this goodie: A bill to add a cure and drop the witness requirement died in the legislature last year, and a ‘judge’ ruled voters have NO constitutional right to cure.
I worked the polls in 2020 when RCV was implimented. Voters were clearly confused. Most voted for 1 candidate – like regular voting thinking they were toughing it out.

Bronson proposed excellent potential solutions and kept his composure when the idiots running the Anchorage Assembly were celebrating sodomy and lining their pockets rather than making sound decisions w/ public money. I recall his expression when leaving an Anchorage Assy meeting one evening. You could see the strong language swirling around inside his head but surprisingly, none escaped. Calm in conflict and disinclined to stray from topics important to the public. He’s the right guy for sure.
