Vice President J.D. Vance will be in Alaska on Monday for a rally at the Fairbanks International Airport. Organized by the Trump 47 Committee, the event is intended to inspire conservative voter turnout in the upcoming Nov. 3 midterm election.

Festivities kick off at 3 p.m. on Oct. 5, and the event begins at 5 p.m. At around 6:20 p.m., Vice President Vance will take the stage. Those interested in attending the rally can RSVP at this link.

President Trump said he would visit Alaska himself before the midterms to rally support for U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan in his effort to hold off Democratic challenger Mary Peltola.

According to a report in Semafor.com, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles told a group of Republican senators on Sept. 29 that Trump’s itinerary still includes a trip to Alaska to help Sullivan. Details of that trip have not yet been released.

Clearly, the Trump administration has made Alaska a high priority in the midterms.

On Sept. 30, he hosted an Oval Office gathering with Sullivan, Gov. Mike Dunleavy, and Congressman Nick Begich to unveil a $54 billion South Korean investment in the planned Alaska gas pipeline project.

Other journalists have followed up on the South Korean investment beyond the self promotion and found that they are in discussions about an investment. They are looking at the viability of the project. I feel like this president and senator are manipulating the facts.
