The news of the renegade FBI raid at the Hueper household in Homer on April 28 is into the nationally oriented conservative and even the mainstream media outlets. There are some things to watch.

First, the MSM will soft-soap this as much as possible with narratives such as, “The FBI confirmed that they conducted a court-ordered search” and “They were searching for Pelosi’s laptop after the January 6 attack, insurrection and riot.” They will never call it what it was: A Deep State plot to bait Trump supporters into a more accurately described “surge,” to distract for as long as possible the stolen election of 2020.

Secondly, there is this May 1 gem from Sen. Dan Sullivan’s Facebook page, urging people to not jump to conclusions and to remember that law enforcement agents have a tough job.

Rumors that Gov. Dunleavy politely asked the FBI to apologize is laughable.

And amazingly, he shifted the topic to the late Ted Stevens’ persecution by the Bush Justice Department, discussing “over-zealous prosecutors” being a problem. It is quite instructive how he is more concerned about politicians than he is about us peons in our own homes.

Yes, Senator, the FBI has a tough job, starting with a strict observance of the Bill of Rights. Like the hideous way Alaskan moose hunters were treated in the Yukon-Charley incident, or so many of us at the TSA pat-down line, we suffer not from racist-oriented police persecution, but from an out-of-control federal government, one that is not only weeding out conservatives from the military but likely doing so within law enforcement.

Thirdly, where are our local elected officials? Their silence is deafening. Rumors that Gov. Dunleavy politely asked the FBI to apologize is laughable. To be fair, there is little else he could do short of ordering state troopers to arrest them. And judging by the testimony given at the 2013 Firearms Freedom Act hearings, trooper leadership would likely defy the governor and side with the feds.

Are we a sovereign state or merely a local administrative and provincial unit of a hypocritical empire?

It demonstrates once again the helplessness of states’ rights, particularly in Alaska, where the non-existent “equal footing” with our sister states has been a bone of contention since statehood. We lack the sovereign authority of sheriffs because we do not have counties. As stated in an earlier column, by common law sheriffs are the sovereign authority within their own jurisdiction. Federal agents must clear any action with a sheriff before a raid and, if he does not approve, they quickly get out of town.

There are reasonable objections for transforming our boroughs into counties: another layer of government, higher taxes, no guarantee that a sheriff will act justly, more revenue-gaining speeding tickets. But these things can be avoided by local legislation. Let us imagine a hypothetical bill and scenario.

“Those boroughs which wish to transform themselves into common-law counties may do so by referendum.” This would permit the rural areas, liberal Southeast, and any others to continue as they already have. But imagine sheriffs in the Kenai Peninsula, Mat-Su Valley, Fairbanks, Glennallen, Delta and Tok. And maybe even Anchorage.

With even a namby-pamby sheriff, he will swallow hard before permitting and cooperating with a constitutionally questionable federal raid. Even if he approves, he will make sure due process and courtesies are followed, unless there is a suspicion of heavily armed organized crime or a lone desperado. And unlike the federal goon squad, he was elected here, lives here, people recognize him, and afterwards media coverage will go through things with a fine-tooth comb.

But a good sheriff would do something else. As in, “I know these people and there is absolutely no need to conduct a no-knock, gun-point raid. I will accompany you and serve the warrant.”

And he might also say, “I have looked at the photograph of this so-called person-of-interest and I suggest your forensic team does its homework a little better. Kindly be advised that I do not approve of this action and contact me later if you come up with better evidence.”

But will our legislators listen to their constituents or the federal Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Treasury? Are we a sovereign state or merely a local administrative and provincial unit of a hypocritical empire?

The insanity is we have no elected officials that stand up for the citizenry that elected them… The are special interest whores and prostitutes of a vile ilk that only listen to the criminal whispers of those who tempt and pay private bank accounts of these legislatures that promise and swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the State and her people…. Well as we have just seen they piss on the PFD and its protected status that left any changes to the vote of we the people…. These are treasonous criminals that we have in representation of our state that are fleecing us and I say we recall and charge them with their dishonest evil… Running as Conservatives and turning around and lying and voting with the communist dems is as low as one can go……We all must see the FBI is an arm of the global tyranny that is as anti American as it gets.
Well as this So called conservative Senator disgraced Marine Sullivan lost all credibility and showed who he was by voting for the communist interior secretary who will shut down your Oil jobs and any forestry jobs Fishing is next as communist hate individual prosperity. Yes the whole state govt is a part of the squelching freedom of the individual as the lie cheat and steal from Alaskans… the Gestapho stormtroopers er FBI will not stop their reign of terror until we the people rise and stop them and this will not happen as long as we have CUCK spineless Reps that would rather take the Bribe than defend the Constitution. I say we remove these reps that so blatantly disregard their Oaths and cannot somehow do the right thing which is represent their constituents… We are at the precipice of tyrannical evil.

EXCELLENT….! I have no doubt Kelly Tschibaka will beat Murkowski….and Dan Sullivan needs to be the next to go….he only won reelection because Al Gross was totally unacceptable…..when he went with Lisa Murkowski to Brett Kavanaugh’s home with their rotten ‘Judas’ signs against Kavanaugh….I got phone calls and emails from England, Poland, Portugal, Maine and Israel…wanting to know what the heck is Dan Sullivan doing? They were all outraged by their evil acts……they are RINOS and we the people need to wake up! and get true conservatives in office or we will live under a horrific communist controlled government….in case you do not know what a communist government does to the peasant people….. grab a true history book or ask some people who are living here because they escaped the terror of a communist country…..we need elected officials with backbone who will fight for us and stand up for conservative values against these atheistic, morally perverted, murderous abortionists and those who have lost their moral, patriotic and religious compass. Our teaching system that is now taking place in Alaska is reeking with Marxist-communist ideology…..destroying the morals of our children from K thru 12….it is godless, immoral and it is wrong…..this ‘diversity’ etc, bs is pure insanity….

One Senator stood up the the tyrannical over reach of the Dunleavy administration and his UNCONDITIONAL power grab with SB76 diverting the balance of powers by stripping the legislative branch’s power and giving it to the executive branch. Alaskans are to stupid to be free they have neither the intelligence nor fortitude to take a stand against these treasonous politicians and that is why this state is in the predicament it is in!

  • John J. Otness says:

The FBI has acknowledged pre knowledge of every plot and plan shooting and terror attack since the Boston Bomber… In my humble opinion the FBI has groomed and nurtured all this Mayhem and I am not alone… Just look at the creeps who run that freak show… From Comey to Wray and all the other demons in that base Hell that we all grew to view as honorable…. they are the terrorists. I have lived my life long enough to not be afraid of death so I speak… Our Nation our children are more important than cowering in fear of these modern day SS nazis…. You take your tyranny and shove it and that goes for you power whores in the Alaska govt,,,, We are rising and we will take our Nation Back….. The Watchman must warn the people or the blood of the innocent is on his hands…… This is a battle of Powers and Principalities…. Stand now or face the horror of the demonic plans soon…. Your voice matters…. GOD will stand with you….Watch DOMINIONS fall in Maricopa… this leads to the criminals in Alaska that instituted it…… TREASON has its price tags….

You speak from alot of our hearts JJ. I too have lived most of my life. It’s time Alaskans and the rest of Americans stand tall. Or reap the horrors this tyrannical government is imposing on “WE THE PEOPLE” God Bless you sir.

    • John J. Otness says:

GOD Bless you too Sir…. Our State and Nation does not have to go to Hell in a handbag provided we all lose sight of our differences and take hold of our similarities. The facade of govt depends on the constant wedge driving in between what are the party lines race and whatever those in power need to keep us at each others throats,,,, We must have a common goal of ridding the corrupt from govt and then we can make headway.

  • John J. Otness says:

Bill, Excellent article Ty The Borough inadequacies are so evident and the County Sheriff would put authority and responsibility where it belongs in this century.Ty again.

  • G Aleution says:

Thank you NAV. We have not asked much of them for quite awile. Let’s begin.

  • EscapedAnchorage says:

I think the biggest mistake we keep making is calling these people leaders. They work for the people, that should make them the public’s servant. As long as we keep calling them “leaders” they’re going to keep doing what they want. I’m not surprised in the least any of the “leaders” are mum on this, look how mum they are with Anchorage’s self imposed economic problems? I think there’s a growing number of us who will never vote for these “leaders” again.

Give credit where it’s due, at least Dan Sullivan has actually said something some what meaningful and says he’ll investigate it in his committee in DC. We’ll see how that goes.

  • david Boyle says:

Shhhhh! NSA and other Amerikan spy agencies are watching and listening. We need to rescind the Patriot Act which allows these spy agencies to spy on Americans. Senator Rand Paul warned this would happen with this Act.

  • Michael S Totten says:

They’re going to get their war with the TRUE operators but not the way they want it. We don’t operate by their rules. Remember WACO, RUBY RIDGE AND NEVADA ladies and gentleman. If you wanted our attention BIDEN DOJ believe me you have it. picking on this un willing alaska couple shows your cowardice. We see you. Keep pushing your agenda and one morning you are going to stack up on the WRONG door.

  • DoneWithIt says:

We need, by referendum, to adopt the county structure versus the borough.
We need an elected sheriff – that is the highest ranking law enforcement official in each county – above the feds.
Why this hasn’t been done already is disturbing.

    • Michael S Totten says:

Because alaska is an expansion state and for some reason either the constituants there are to ignorant or willfully unaware of alot of the lower 48 structure. It just takes the right people to listen. And the legislators up there need to introduce those bills and actually fight for them. Sadly alaska has alot of degenerates that move up there to escape law enforcement because they have been in trouble down here. I spent 17 years up there. I’m TEXAN and I grew up here. But sadly alaska has been broken for too long. Alot of it is the money from the native corps. They can buy your legislators very easily and the natives up there don’t give a shit.

  • Jon and Ruth Ewig says:

This clear violation of the civil liberties of this couple and hence all of us showed itself through the so-called FBI. Where are the first amendment lawyers and justices??? Who has the jurisdiction over this unlawful move. Where is the protection for We the People? Who is supposed to be intimidated by these violent government actions? Obviously, here is an obvious reason for us to keep our guns and be ready to use them. Is the FBI trying to show Congress or any leaders or anyone who works for the betterment of the country what unlawful power they have over us? We thank the Good Lord that he is still on the throne. Also, there James O’Keefe has started a legal group to help us common people when we are violated. He is the head of Project Veritas. This may be a starting place to get outside of the encroaching government forces and be with We the People. Also, the Proud Boys and The Veterans in Defense of Liberty may be another avenue. Just some ideas.

    • Michael S Totten says:

Start staying awake at night buy ballistic vests and when they come thru your door do what u gotta do. Don’t take their shit!

  • Destry says:

This is what we the Alaskan people are doing to correct this problem!
