Angry protest

Setting aside religious, ethnic, racial and social differences to achieve a greater good was once considered an American hallmark and the envy and wonder of the Old World.

Creating the “American Melting Pot” wasn’t without colossal struggle and setbacks, but the vision of a people standing free, united and equal before God, has forged a nation like none other.

That vision is now fractured under the spell of woke identity politics, which itself is born of a radical individualistic view of humanity, one in which everyone defines his own reality and is answerable to no higher authority but the changing whims of personal desire.

This paradigm is devoid of a unifying belief that all men and women are endowed by the Creator with certain inalienable rights, which must always be upheld.

Shot throughout this endless fracturing is the notion of oppressors and the ever-growing list of newfound victims.

Culturally, this individualistic worldview breeds deep divisions that have been playing out in America and which are now at a dangerous new pitch.

In the past two years alone, we’ve watched this animosity fuel riots, burn cities and foment violent protests and cultural conflicts that have shaken America to its core.

Everywhere you look new and emerging divisions divide black and white, cops and citizens, schools and parents, men and women, the born and unborn, LGBTQ and straight.

We have pitted the rich against the poor, the past against the present and the secular against the religious. Most recently we see the masked versus the unmasked, vaxed vs. unvaxed and essential vs. non-essential.

With the rise of Black Lives Matter and critical race theory, every white person is a suspected racist, until they prove otherwise. Even black conservatives are condemned.

Discord is also seen among gays and lesbians who don’t support every element of the trans agenda. In Anchorage, divisions erupted this month between LGBTQs of color and those who are white.

What is the end of a fragmented nation that has rejected its history, severed its family ties and lost its religious foundation?

Shot throughout this endless fracturing is the notion of oppressors and the ever-growing list of newfound victims.

The only way to avoid cancellation is to immediately affirm any newly identified victim while simultaneously showing sufficient enthusiasm in denouncing the oppressors. At the slightest hesitation, your reputation is cancelled.

Many other victims, however, are seen as collateral damage for the greater good of advancing hyper individualism and unfettered choice.

The left, for instance, does not talk about the 60 million unborn babies killed through abortion, the millions of fatherless young men and women, broken families, cycles of single-parent poverty, plummeting academics, rampant divorce and cohabitation that leave children in the lurch, violent mobs destroying small businesses, adverse reactions to experimental vaccines, gender confused children enduring cross sex hormones, businesses forced to close due to mandates or laws that violate their religious liberties, girls whose sports are dominated by biological males.

These victims are a necessary – even pleasing – sacrifice among devotees of divisive, identity politics.

But what is the end of a fragmented nation that has rejected its history, severed its family ties and lost its religious foundation? There is no firm ground on which to stand.

The vision of the cultural left is one in which every identity group fights solely for its own, and eventually leaves every man for himself. It is a nightmare from which we must awake.

Americans must call out the folly of turning every man against his neighbor and recall those words which are rarely uttered in our classrooms anymore – the ones that proudly affirm we are “One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”

Sounds almost like another civil war in the making to see where the chips fall.

    • Elizabeth Henry says:

I would say we have been in an ideological civil was for awhile now.

Truthful, factual and well-written article!! America, wake up!!

The Apostate Church is the place to cast the responsibility America and the world’s countries are like they are today. We always lived in a dark world. These things always happened throughout the ages as a result of sin. The people are given over to their flesh and desires. The church of Christ is supposed to be the Light, the Truth, and bringing the Salvation for the world. it hadnt been cause the Truth was not in us. Our pastors of the word when they are called to teach us the Truth. A lot of them they cared more about keeping the pews full and the money flowing to not tell us what we needed to know as a young man and young woman.

By the way I just found a great YouTube channel ‘George Carnel’ and he has a book i like to read how i can be a better disciple to those in the homosexual sin from his book ‘Queer to Christ’

Very well said. Thank you for transposing the fragmented thoughts in my head into an article so I could understand a little better why I am just so darn sad!

    Well said!
I love watching “Wagon Train” and I can’t help but notice the discrimination attitudes that are purposely portrayed of that era. Irish, Scots, Blacks, Indians, Chinese, etc. All those and more as immigrants and yes blacks were immigrants when you come to think about it, were looked down on for many reasons. The way they talked, clothing, culture, etc. There was on episode about a Scottish clan than came to the train. One of the men on the train was named O’Connell, he was at least a second if not third generation American. Yet he had no idea about his heritage and couldn’t understand why the McDonald’s would not let him marry the daughter of the McDonald Clan.
With this attack on our nation as a melting pot, we not only loose our history and heritage (my ancestors were German and British) but we loose the very fabric that came from and continues to come from that same melting pot!! We must fight against this will all we have!

It’s because for the last 10 years or so EVERYBODY got a participation trophy.

  • Combs Linda says:

I agree with Traci Odom’s comment. Well articulated and laid out so I can identify a timeline, a history of a slow slide into a morass that leaves me feeling mournful for what we as a nation are losing and what we have lost.

  • Larry Wood says:

Well stated. Hits the nail on the head.
There is a war, only the Republican Party doesn’t have a clue, but the Dems do.

  • Michael S Totten says:

Larry wood the dems are the ones facilitating it. They are the 1929 nazi party that was actually pushed and encouraged by the Vatican. Everybody keeps pointing at China when the real truth is the Vatican is the global puppet masters. Most people dont read books anymore. They get everything from WIKI which is a huge information fraud
