If you watch the news, or listen to it, or read it with any amount of discernment, you will notice if there is one thing missing in the world, above all else, it is gratitude. While we raise the lamp and stand up for conservative principles and the powerful and necessary centrality of Christ in our world, we must also take time each day and each year around this time to cheerfully give thanks.

Many of you support the Alaska Watchman. We could not have survived these past 26 months without the generous individual support from people all over Alaska, providing us the fuel… the oil if you will, to keep the lamp lit while we keep it raised. To our individual donors, please know we are extraordinarily thankful and appreciative.

We also could not have done it without our advertisers, many of whom have faced backlash from cancel culture for displaying ads on our site. To anyone who doesn’t or hasn’t supported our project but appreciates our reporting… please consider supporting the advertisers who support the Watchman and want the men and women of the watch as customers and clients.

First, a shout out to UMV, the DMV that’s all about you, our very first advertiser. They are a massively better alternative to the DMV. They will save you the one thing you cannot replace, your time. A company that proudly proclaims their corporate values are based on biblical truths. If you need anything DMV related, save yourself the nightmare and find a UMV location near you… no you don’t need an appointment.

And when it comes to Dental Care… If you live in Anchorage, consider Anchor Dental. Dr Greg Moody has caught endless flak for not forcing his staff to get vaccinated, and instead leaving that very personal choice up to his staff individually. He came on board as an advertiser this year because he hopes that for every person who decides to leave his practice because his staff may have natural immunity instead of the jab, a cheerful man or woman of the Watch who has recovered from COVID or is unafraid will take their place. If you want a great dentist, call Anchor Dental in Anchorage, if you’re a Watchman Reader, you get your first exam free.

For Bookkeeping and Accounting, consider Noble Tax and Accounting. Haylee Kurka and her team are amazing. They handle the financials and tax paperwork of the Alaska Watchman, and are exceptional at what they do. Also a company with Christian Values, they are fierce advocates for your tax dollars and good accounting practices and will surprise you as they have me with their attention to detail.

Now, as far as education goes, as our culture disintegrates and more and more people realize just how pernicious and pervasive the cultural rot has become in our society, families are turning in droves to homeschooling. Raven Homeschool provides parents with amazing staff support and customized educational curricula that ensure your kids are actually learning the important foundations of reading, writing, arithmetic, history and civics from the best sources available, while learning their FAMILY VALUES from you, their parents. If you decide to homeschool, look no further than Raven Homeschool.

And lastly, Christmas is right around the corner, if you need a faith-based gift for someone you love this year, shop local at vine and branches, Christian Bookshoppe. They have a thousand things that would work as great gifts or stocking stuffers and they have been supporting the Watchman since very early on. Custom bibles, coffee cups, devotionals, all sorts of things… and they’re local… and they’re great.

Please consider supporting the businesses that put their necks out into the cancel culture and advertise on our site.

Thank you for a great first two years and as many months, and we look forward to keeping the lamp lit for many years to come.

Thank you for sharing the information about your supporting advertisers. I will definitely be contacting Anchor Dental as my new dentist for self and family. Glad that some local businesses have the courage and moral compass to stand up to these totalitarian mandates.
