A group of pro-life advocates will be on hand for what is expected to be a large pro-abortion rally in downtown Anchorage on July 9. The aim is to share the truth about unborn human life with pro-abortion demonstrators.

Planned Parenthood organized the abortion rally to protest the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and returned the abortion question back to each state to decide. Abortion activists will gather at Delaney Park Strip from 1-3 p.m.

“Their rally will provide us with an opportunity to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth about abortion to a group of people who are desperately searching for a Rock to build on,” a notice from Alaska Right to Life states. “Ever since the Dobbs decision put Roe in the trash heap of history, the sands of secular leftism began shifting and they can feel their lives begin to fall apart at the threat of the eminent pro-life storm that is coming their way.”

In providing a pro-life presence at the July 9 rally, attendees hope to dispel the notion that killing babies is a healthcare necessity that liberates women, and to engage in calm, reasoned conversation with pro-abortionists.

In addition to gently engaging in peaceful conversation, pro-lifers will also pray and sing hymns.

I think the term is “Pro-Choice”

    • AK Kenneth says:

Ah, yes. Let’s use the invented euphemism to describe the desire for unfettered abortion. *Sounds* so much better. 😀

      • Evan S Singh says:

The correct term is “pro choice”. This reflects freedom, liberty and independence from a white nationalist Christian authoritarian distant government.

  • Tamra Nygaard says:

The choice was made prior to conception. After that, the options are murder or not murder. Pretty simple, but let’s not allow obfustication.
