On Wednesday, the growing movement to hold the Alaska Supreme Court accountable for overstepping its constitutional authority continues with more organized protests outside courthouses in Anchorage and Juneau.

By creating new rules which violate the constitutional authority of citizen grand juries to investigate corrupt public officials – including judges – the Alaska Supreme Court has kicked a constitutional hornets nest.

This is not a fringe group of disgruntled radicals, but a coalition that includes state lawmakers, borough assemblies, city councils and high profile political leaders. This grassroots effort to hold the state’s highest court accountable for violating the constitution and its own procedures.
