I really appreciate the Alaska legislators, assembly members, school board representatives and other leaders who stand for life, Christian values and freedom in Alaska. We have seen how quickly those rights and freedoms can erode.

Unfortunately, the act of ripping a child from a mother’s womb or poisoning the unborn baby to death still happens in Alaska – over and over again.

Human life and our most fundamental freedoms erode when leadership grows weak and corrupt. Who we choose to lead us is critical, but we must have strong candidates to vote for.

On October 21, at Journey Church in Fairbanks, Right to Life-Interior Alaska is sponsoring speaker Matt Trewhella for a conference on the importance of defending local freedoms and recruiting and encouraging pro-life Christian candidates to run for office.

Trewhella is a powerful motivator who inspires Christians to run for office. He teaches about the power of inherent rights, and authored the book, “Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates: A Proper Resistance to Tyranny and a Repudiation of Unlimited Obedience to Civil Government.”

For so many years, we at Right To Life have contacted countless politicians, urging them to support pro-life bills or oppose legislation that harms families and children. Many of these representatives fulfill nothing they promised to do when they ran for office. Others feel completely outnumbered and ultimately give up, or do only the bare minimum.

This upcoming event intends to turn the tide by encouraging strong, Christian Alaskans to run for office – courageous people who will fight for life, family and liberty.

I briefly met Mr. Trewhella on a Zoom meeting with a local common law group and I immediately realized he had a gift to inspire individuals and communities.

We are excited to have him visit Fairbanks. To learn more about him, check out his website.

This free event on Oct. 21 goes from 5-8 p.m., with refreshments provided. Everyone is welcome.

Even though it’s listed as three hours long, the actual presentation lasts about an hour. The rest of the time will be spent asking questions and talking together.

Considering what inept strategies we (Christian) people are still trying, I’ve concluded that the church is being judged by God and is swimming upstream in the river of wrath! Barely surviving and waring out! Abortion has been fought since I was a baby! Along time ago! We’ve made one good step of progress in this fight! No more roe v wade! Our state can now resolve this and put it to bed! Our useless governor got elected twice because of his “promises of being prolife!” Hey church get a clue, ignore Jim Minnerys useless strategy of 40 days and nights of sign holding and instead force your voted for useless governor to keep his promises! Why are you avoiding this?
This irritates me to the point that I may run for governor and I guarantee this crazy hazy stupid thinking will end day 1 !
