In a landmark 6-3 decision issued on June 30, the U.S. Supreme Court stated that President Donald Trump’s executive order, which sought to limit birthright citizenship, violates the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause.
The case, Trump v. Barbara, centered on whether children born in the United States to parents who are unlawfully present or on temporary visas are entitled to automatic U.S. citizenship. Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the majority joined by Justices Sotomayor, Kagan, Barrett, and Jackson, affirmed that such children are “born in the United States” and “subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” making them citizens at birth.
The executive order, signed January 20, 2025, and titled “Protecting the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship,” directed federal agencies not to recognize citizenship for children born after February 20, 2025, if their mother was unlawfully present or on temporary status and the father lacked U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency. Challengers argued it contradicted longstanding precedent from United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898) and the text of the Fourteenth Amendment.
Dissenting opinions came from Justice Clarence Thomas (joined by Justice Neil Gorsuch), and separate dissents from Justices Samuel Alito and Gorsuch.
The ruling affirms lower court decisions blocking the order and preserves automatic citizenship for approximately hundreds of thousands of children born annually in the U.S. to non-citizen parents.
Critics, including administration officials, argued the policy was needed to address incentives for illegal immigration and the “anchor baby” phenomenon.

Perhaps this IS serious enough for Trump to declare this the NATIONAL SECURITY SITUATION that it is and exempt the courts from their activist positions and deal with this bs attack on our Country. We are under attack to destroy our Country. Traitors ARE INSIDE THE WIRE! They are firmly implanted in all aspects of our governments (states, local and federal), elected and employed. The solution is for Congress to pass amendments and changes to this Clause. Kavanaugh mentioned this. That shld be the path forward. Now to get Congress to do SOMETHING.
If the three branches are considered co-equal then how can the Judicial branch overrule the Executive branch! I would think if they are truly co-equal it should take two out of the three co-equal branches to override either of the others. What I’m seeing is that the Judicial branch is actually a Superior branch, it can override either of the other two, whereas the other two can not individually override the Judicial branch.
I’ve been saying this for 30 years- “at this point we are being ruled by the courts”. It’s being shown every day.

So, someone (anchor baby) that may not live in this country their entire childhood, teens, and then comes to this country for further education would have the right to vote in a national election regardless of whether they have adversary beliefs about this country due to their allegiance to a adversary country. And our Supreme Court is okay with this?
We all have adversary beliefs about something. And anyway, the 14th amendment is inarguably clear.
Even if some interpretations are trying to apply that precedent, there have been Constitutional Amendments to correct problems not adequately addressed in other cases. It’s time to do that. The Marxist, Communist, Democrat alliance doesn’t want it to be true. If it doesn’t get fixed it will be used by these folks and the dumbasses following their plans to collapse this Country
