Alaska’s most powerful abortion lobby has endorsed 32 candidates (see list below) for state office. These individuals were chosen based on their pledge to defend and advance the ability of abortionists to kill unwanted pre-born babies, and their promise to back laws that allow schools to expose children to explicit and graphic sex education, while empowering medical workers to administer cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers to gender-confused Alaska youth.
Planned Parenthood’s political arm describes its endorsed candidates as “fierce advocates” who will “unapologetically fight” against any effort to protect the unborn from abortion. All endorsed candidates are “expected to maintain a 100% voting record once in office.”
The endorsements include candidates running for the Alaska State House and Senate, as well as the governor’s office.
In highlighting its chosen political champions, Planned Parenthood notes that expanding access to abortion and cross-sex drugs “happens at the ballot box.”
“Our endorsement is more than just a stamp of approval; when voters are looking for candidates who are fierce advocates for reproductive freedom and won’t back down in the face of political attacks, they look to us,” Planned Parenthood boasts. “Candidates and voters alike know that now — more than ever — abortion is a winning issue and our endorsements win races.”
When determining whether to back a candidate, Planned Parenthood’s political action arm assesses them using a detailed questionnaire and interview process. To gain the abortionists’ of approval, all candidates must “score 100% on all questions” to demonstrate complete allegiance to the industry’s sexual agenda. Half measures and compromises are unacceptable.
Additionally, candidates are evaluated on how committed they are to critical race theory and DEI notions about “social justice advocacy” and systemic racism.
If Planned Parenthood has its way, the governor’s office and Alaska Legislature will be stacked with hard-leftist cultural warriors.
On July 24, absentee ballots will be mailed to voters who request them. Early voting opens statewide on Aug. 3, and Aug. 8 is the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail. Aug. 18 is Primary Election Day.
