Last week the Biden administration issued a mandate aimed at forcing millions of employers across the nation to fund the killing of unborn babies. This includes pro-life organizations.

Proposed on Aug. 7, Biden’s interpretation of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act looks to redefine the bipartisan law, which never even addresses the issue of abortion.

The law was intended to ensure that pregnant women received workplace accommodations associated with the unique challenges women experience during “pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions.” The goal was to expand access to things like disability accommodations and medical leave.

Biden’s administration, however, aims to use the term “related medical conditions” to include the killing of unborn children in the womb through abortion.

If implemented, the proposed rule would mandate that employers with more than 15 workers enact “reasonable accommodations” for their workers’ abortions.

Published on Friday, the proposed rule is now undergoing a 60-day public comment period, during which Americans can voice opposition via written comments.

Pro-life groups such as Alliance Defending Freedom are already rallying troops against mandate.

““Congress sought to help pregnant workers, not force employers to facilitate abortions,” said Alliance Defending Freem Senior Council Julie Marie Blake. “The Biden administration is hijacking a bipartisan law that doesn’t even mention abortion to forcibly require every employer in America to provide ‘reasonable accommodations’ for their workers’ elective abortions. The administration’s unlawful proposal violates state laws protecting the unborn and employers’ pro-life and religious beliefs. The administration doesn’t have the legal authority to smuggle an abortion mandate into a transformational pro-life, pro-woman law. Alliance Defending Freedom stands ready to continue defending unborn lives and to oppose this egregious federal overreach.”
