Today, Christians around the world observe “Good Friday,” the day Jesus died by crucifixion after being flogged, beaten, mocked and betrayed. One would be forgiven for wondering just what the faithful see as so “good” about this Friday before Easter.

Soldotna’s St. Patrick’s Day parade is on

The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will again take to the streets of Soldotna. The yearly celebration was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid concerns, but restored last year, and is on again in 2022. Organized by the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, the event
