Alaskans have until July 19 to register to vote in the upcoming Aug. 18 primary, an election that will decide which candidates appear on the general ballot in November.
Given that Alaska has a jungle primary, the top four vote-getters in each race will advance to the general contest, where ranked-choice voting will decide the ultimate winner. While most races for State House and Senate have four or fewer candidates running, meaning all candidates will automatically advance, the contests for governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House are packed with contenders, and the primary will whittle their ranks down to four.

On July 24, absentee ballots will be mailed to voters who request them. Earle voting opens statewide on Aug. 3, and Aug. 8 is the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail.
Aug. 18 is Primary Election Day.

I keep saying if you don’t vote, you have no say. So I don’t want to hear you complaining. Yes there’s cheating in our voting system. Vote yes on 2, to rid this RCV system.
